Underside Intersect was created for the CAMD Honors in the Discipline program during Fall 2025 at Northeastern University. It’s a game featuring themes of isolation and friendship among trans women, styled similarly to an SNES game, with pixel graphics and limited color palettes. It’s a 2D top-down action adventure game where you control two characters with different abilities and make your way through a shadow world known as the Underside. You can play it here on itch.io.
Lily J created all assets besides some free sound effects which were edited by her, including all art, music, and gameplay, with guidance from Professor B Sichling at CAMD.
The game is about 15-20 minutes long and has full controller support.
